Lactobacillus Helveticus HA-122
Dit is een van de bekendere bacteriestammen die de spijsvertering ondersteunen. Deze stam is als paraprobioticum (afgedode bacteriestam) toegevoegd. Hierbij gaat het om dode bacteriën maar met nog steeds intacte cellen waardoor ze veel stabieler zijn dan levende, ook bij wisselende temperaturen. Daardoor is er op het moment van gebruik een exact aantal stammen per gram gegarandeerd en is het resistent tegen zowel het maagzuur als de enzymen die de spijsvertering erop afvuurt. Recent onderzoek toont aan dat paraprobiotica een vergelijkbaar effect hebben als levende bacteriën, soms met net andere positieve eigenschappen.
